poise, balance and release of trauma

What I do

For over twenty years I have been helping people and animals release excess tension, so they can move freely without pain. The methods I use to achieve this are: Alexander Technique, CranioSacral Therapy (with therapeutic tuning forks), Stress Release and Reflex Inhibition Therapy. In their own unique way all methods I use encourage (body) awareness, release of tension and freedom of movement. I have enough knowledge of anatomy to help you and your animals release tension, but I am not trained to diagnose medical conditions. I strongly recommend you always seek proper medical advice and guidance when faced with a health issue. I strongly recommend you always seek proper medical advice and guidance when faced with a health issue. Over the years I have gathered answers to the questions that have been asked frequently. You will find these in the FAQ page. This includes information on fees, length of sessions and what you can expect during a session. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for, don’t hesitate to contact me. When I am in session with a client I do not answer my phone. On working days whatsapp messages and emails are answered the same day. If you are considering to travel to Amsterdam for a series of sessions with me and you would like to discuss this beforehand in a telephone call, please let me know and we will set a time.

At the moment I am working on my website. I apologize if you find pages which contain errors and do not yet function properly. These problems will be solved as soon as possible.

My practice is closed until April 28th 2020.

Warm regards,
Elke Mastwijk

About me

Since I was first introduced to the Alexander Technique in 1992 I am fascinated by this gentle method that encourages you to be aware and mindful, to release excess tension and to move with ease. When we move well, we feel and perform better.
